On-Demand Mental Health Services

Aetna Mental Health On Demand is Convenient and Efficient

Aetna, a CVS Health company, has introduced Aetna Mental Health On Demand. This new service is designed to provide its members with immediate, real-time access to licensed clinicians through chat, phone, or video via the member website, with the full rollout scheduled for January 2027.

The Aetna Mental Health On Demand program employs a clinically proven single-session intervention model that not only addresses immediate concerns, including crisis management, but also results in a personalized plan for ongoing care, with clinicians actively advocating for members by scheduling follow-ups and coordinating additional resources. During an initial launch phase, the service demonstrated remarkable responsiveness, with clinicians connecting to members in an average of just 13 seconds.

Aetna has also enhanced its care management program with advanced predictive tools that proactively identify members at risk of acute needs or future inpatient admissions.
