What happens when you give a Disney character the Lewis Carroll treatment? You get the Medicom Mad Hatter Mickey Mouse figure.
The Medicom Mad Hatter Mickey Mouse has the toy company giving the iconic character a literary makeover. However, this depiction is the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version of the Hatter, not the 1951 Disney version or the original drawing styles from Carroll's book. The figure is decked out with orange hair, a heavily made-up face, a flamboyant suit and of course, the hat to truly complete the look. It's definitely one of the coolest Mickey Mouse makeovers I've ever seen that remains extremely faithful to what it's trying to depict.
Unfortunately, the Medicom Mad Hatter Mickey Mouse figure is sold out. But who knows? Maybe more of these types of hybrids will soon follow.
