Family-Assisting QSR Initiatives

McDonald's Canada Will Host the McHappy Day Initiative on May 8

McDonald's Canada is preparing to host its annual McHappy Day fundraising initiative on May 8, 2025, with proceeds supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities and other organizations assisting families with critically ill children.

During the McHappy Day event, a percentage of all food and beverage sales from participating locations will contribute to Ronald McDonald House Charities programs, which provide housing and resources for families needing to stay near pediatric hospitals. Customers can participate through multiple avenues, including standard purchases, McDelivery orders with waived fees, optional donation rounding, and the purchase of commemorative socks or paper hearts.

Since its inception, McHappy Day has generated over $100 million for RMHC Canada, though current demand still exceeds available resources, as four out of five eligible families are unable to access housing due to capacity constraints.
