Carbon Fiber-Accented Coupes

The Mazda Roadster Drop-Head Coupe Concept Offers Increased Rigidity

The Mazda Roadster Drop-Head Coupe concept has been shown off by the brand ahead of the Tokyo Auto Salon show that aims to offer driving enthusiasts an exceptional level of performance with increased styling.

The concept vehicle is based off the MX-5 Miata and features a carbon fiber hard top that can be removed, as desired, to allow for an open-air driving experience. The carbon fiber material would help provide increased rigidity for drivers, while also dropping the weight of the components to make it a capable sports car both on and off the race track.

The Mazda Roadster Drop-Head Coupe concept is finished off with aerodynamic side skirts, a front splitter, 16-inch RAYS wheels, Recaro seats, aluminum pedals and a front tow hook.
