The Personal Landscape collection by famed designer Maxim Velcovsky blends a number of ultra-modern elements to create pieces that are as obscure as they are beautiful.
Based out of Czechoslovakia, Velcovsky draws inspiration for his creations from natural landscapes that you'd see on a map. Not a single piece in the collection features harsh lines or a completely sensical nature; each creation is imperfect and appears more organic than your typical furniture.
Fluidity is one of the major themes as the natural connection that Velcosky creates allows for seamless integration with the outside world in any space. The desk is essentially a man-made version of a topographic landscape, while the shelving is sunken and crooked to appear naturally occurring.
