Callum Cooper has just released a trailer for an upcoming documentary about Massoud Hassani and his ingenious Mine Kafon. The Mine Kafon is literally a wind-powered land-mine clearer created by an Afghan designer.
This short teaser clip starts out with someone rolling the giant orb in the desert somewhere, the Mine Kafon then continues to roll in the sand as each of its circular pads come in contact with the ground. The Kafon is meant to search out landmines and, as it rolls over a landmine, it will simultaneously destroy itself and the land mine at the same time.
Made from bamboo and biodegradable plastics, the Mine Kafon is going to save a lot of lives.
