The Martha Davis Spring 2012 capsule collection balances a fine line between minimalist and quirky. Each shoe is made out of raw leather straps and wooden heels in a predominantly neutral palette. It is the use of unique heels that take each shoe up a notch from simple to stunning. As though inspired by geometry, these heels adhere to a motif of circles and rectangles.
A result from participating in the San Francisco new talent incubator project dubbed The Workshop Residence, the Martha Davis Spring 2012 capsule collection is inspired by its natural materials: reclaimed, Napa-sourced Cypress and Redwood, vegetable-tanned uppers as well as brass and steel hardware. The designer says, "I am always interested in simple because it's the most honest and beautiful."
