Skittles' Seattle Mix Honors Seahawk Marshawn Lynch's Favorite Treat

In honor of the upcoming NFL Super Bowl XLVIII game, Skittles is releasing a special edition ’Seattle Mix’ of only green and blue candies — the official colors of the Seahawks and something running back Marshawn Lynch loves.
Skittles have played a huge part in Lynch’s football career, even since he was a kid. Whenever he’d score a touchdown during a Pop Warner Football game, his mother would give him the colorful candy “power pellets.” Now, the tradition is continued by fans at football games and as Mashable notes: “this is such a common occurrence that supermarkets reportedly run low on supply of the candy on game days.”
Lynch has long endorsed Skittles, but this deal will bring him financial compensation, as well as a $10,000 donation to his Fam First Foundation for every touchdown he makes on game day.
