Mark Gonzales is a big name in the skateboarding world. The California native, who's otherwise known as 'The Gonz,' is considered to be one of the most influential in the scene, with his athletic, artistic and writing careers solidifying his presence.
A recent collaboration with Medicom Toy, a Japanese company that makes some of the finest in limited-edition collectibles, recreates the skater's iconic 'Angel' figure. The blob-like character is adorned with a charmingly crooked smile and wings that poke poke out of its body.
The design by Mark Gonzales became popular years ago and has since seen adaptations to a number of skate decks and other merchandise. Medicom Toy is offering the Angel in yellow and red editions, with each standing at about six inches tall.
