Mark Dean Veca Creates Elaborate Art Based on Animated Food Heroes

Mark Dean Veca is a Brooklyn-based, internationally renowned and exhibited artist who specializes in paintings, drawings and large-scale installations. Mark Dean Veca's work has been exhibited in the United States, Europe and Japan, and has been reviewed in the New York Times, Art in America and Art Review.

His latest exhibit, currently on display at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery's C.O.L.A, features a new frontier for Deca - the legendary mascots of some of the world's most famous food and drink brands.

Mark Dean Veca's impressive exhibit makes strong usage of colors, some of which are associated with the brand and others which are not. Tony the Tiger stands in front of a background of a yellow hue, Mr. Kool Aid with an intense green shade, and Charlie the Tuna stands out in front of a red background.

Mark Dean Veca's exhibit is on display until July 3, 2011.
