Marius Scerbinskas Gives a New Purpose to Cheese Graters

Before you throw your old cheese grater, perhaps Marius Scerbinskas' lamp will inspire you to keep it so that it serves another useful purpose.

Talented Lithuanian designer Marius Scerbinskas has transformed a cheese grater into an actual lamp. The whole idea was to see if he could give a new look to objects that surround us in our everyday lives. Scerbinskas wanted to attempt to use products of mass production in a way that increases efficiency and lowers the cost of production. The result is this simple, yet clever creation that can be created even in the comfort of your own home. All that had to be done was to put a light bulb right into the grater which acts as a shade. This is definitely one of the smartest ideas I've seen when it comes to eco-friendly creations.
