Marit Roland is a talent that brings "Paper Drawings" off of the page and into the three dimensional world. The playfully titled series of work involves a ton of abstract shapes and forms that are meant to bring the everyday medium to life. It's almost like magic, seeing how paper can be transformed into a variety of ways.
Hailing from Norway, Marit Roland embraced two distinct ways to organically embrace the paper medium. In one instance, the material is rolled up and displayed quite dynamically. In another instance, it's much more formless, like a crumbled piece of paper but only bigger -- much bigger. The result is undeniably beautiful to behold and encourages people to be reflective.
