Manuscript (seats of poetry) is an installation designed for the upcoming (and first annual) Beijing Design Week that combines poetry and modern design into one amazing piece. The installation consists of steel sheets cut to look like pieces of paper and inscribed with Chinese, British and American poetry.
Rather than being rigid sheets of paper, the pages that make up Manuscript (seats of poetry) are full of life and look as though they are fluttering in the wind. The installation is both pretty to look at and functional, as it gives attendees a place to relax both mentally and physically. Beijing Design Week begins on September 26th and ends on October 3rd. The theme of the show is to find a way to get people to replace the term "made in China" with "designed in China."
