Artisanal Neighborhood Bakeries

Manresa Bread is a Business Endeavor by Avery Ruzicka

Avery Ruzicka -- a finalist for the 2019 James Beard Award, puts special care in designing the concept behind Manresa Bread and its practices. The idea for the neighborhood bakery was "conceived in the kitchen of Chef David Kinch's three-Michelin-star Manresa restaurant." Thus, the establishment already has a promising origin story.

The product is made of locally sourced and high-quality ingredients. Each loaf is manifested with "time-honored baking techniques." In addition, 90% of the grains are milled on-site in a 40'' New American Stone Mill, ensuring that Manresa Bread's products always boast an artisanal feel. To make sourdough loaves, as well as sweet and savory pastries, the business also "uses natural fermentation processes."

Manresa Bread has brick-and-mortar locations in San Francisco, is available at the Palo Alto farmers' market and at Verve Coffee locations in Northern California.
