If you've ever wanted to fully experience creativity in process, this Manhattantime lapse drawing cleverly titled 'Empire State of Pen' is a good place to start.

The talented artist behind this work is Patrick Vale, who drew this masterpiece over a span of a couple days. Accompanied by just four pens, a pencil and endless cups of tea, Vale's progress was fully tracked by an overhead camera. The drawing is created of Lower Manhattan from the perspective of the Empire State Building. Vale maintains that no editing, tracing or photoshop filters was used to augment the video. His skill cannot be questioned.

You come to appreciate how intricate, dense and magnificent New York truly is as you watch each building and crevice get sketched out towards the horizon, right before your eyes.
