Dragon Queen Taxidermy

The 'Paper Mache Maleficent Dragon Trophy' by Dan Reeder Looks Realistic

Dan Reeder, the man behind the Paper Mache Blog, has created a new art work called 'Paper Mache Maleficent Dragon Trophy' in homage to Disney's latest movie 'Maleficent.'

The film's story line revolves around the evil queen that originates from the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. In both story lines, the queen transforms into a frightening dragon, so Dan Reeder depicted himself as a dragon slayer by creating this Disney and taxidermy-inspired piece.

This "hunting" trophy piece consists of Maleficent's dragon head mounted on a wall. It is made out of paper mache and is detailed with LED lights for an added spooky effect. And while it may not be a real dragon, it does actually include some real taxidermy parts. Its eyes are made with taxidermy elephant eyes to look more realistic.
