Epiphone has unveiled the Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom in a Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish, a new signature model created in collaboration with Halestorm frontwoman and Gibson's first female Brand Ambassador.
The Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom features a mahogany body with seven-ply top binding, a single-ply mirror pickguard, a mahogany neck shaped to a SlimTaper 60s C profile with an ebony fretboard and pearloid block inlays. The instrument is powered by a matched set of Epiphone ProBucker Ignite pickups with individual volume controls and a shared master tone, and equipped with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece.
The Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish is sure to capture attention as it is a dynamic, light-catching surface that shifts and sparkles under different lighting conditions.

What's Driving This Trend
- Holographic Instrument Finishes
- Light-reactive sparkle surfaces create premium visual differentiation for guitars, opening space for stage-ready products that merge performance gear with fashion-led personalization.
- Artist-led Signature Gear
- Collaborations with recognizable musicians strengthen emotional purchase drivers, especially when signature models translate performer identity into accessible consumer instruments.
- Female-fronted Rock Branding
- Representation-focused product partnerships broaden appeal in traditionally male-dominated gear categories while signaling cultural relevance to new musician communities.
Who This Affects Most
- Musical Instruments
- Premium finishes, upgraded components, and artist endorsements provide room for mid-market instruments to compete through distinctive design and perceived professional credibility.
- Live Performance Equipment
- Visually striking gear gains added value in concert and content environments where instruments function as both sound tools and on-stage identity markers.
- Music Merchandise
- Signature guitars can extend fan engagement beyond apparel and collectibles by turning artist affiliation into functional, high-value lifestyle products.
