Though the concept of space tourism is steadily entering the national consciousness, the idea of a luxury space hotel still seems like a distant possibility. However, that sci-fi notion might not be as far off as you would think, as the Russian space agency has announced its intention to build a luxury space hotel as an offshoot of the International Space Station.
According to a report from Russian Space Web, the luxury space hotel would offer private cabins with big windows, personal hygiene facilities, exercise equipment, and Wi-Fi. The experience would also offer guided spacewalks around the exterior of the ISS.
To be sure, the space hotel is currently just a plan, but if it comes to fruition, the trip would cost a total of $40 million.
