UMG Gaming has launched the LSPS for Professional Women in Gaming

'UMG Gaming,' the esports-focused subsidiary of 'Engine Media,' has announced the 'Lady Spartan Pro Series' (LSPS). The LSPS is a series of professional 'Halo Infinite' tournaments targeted towards women-only esports teams and competitors. The name "Spartan" from the title comes from the characters in the 'Halo' games, which are referred to as Spartans and can be male or female.

The LSPS will be comprised of five main events, four of which contain an open qualifier and a finals series, and the fifth being the grand finals taking place from May 21st to May 22nd, 2022. The prize pool for this event is $20,000 USD, which will be split across the five tournaments. UMG Gaming has stated that this event aims to "break down the walls" in gaming by promoting female competitors, while also offering a safe place for women to play professionally.
