McDonald's Australia is Now Offering Cosumers a Low-Carb Buger Option

McDonald's Australia recently began testing out a new low-carb burger option that allows customers to replace their hamburger buns with leaves of lettuce. As consumers become more conscious of their eating habits, fast food restaurants have been finding new ways to provide them with healthier menu choices. These new lettuce-wrapped hamburgers are not only low in carbs but also feature a lower calorie content.

The new menu option allows customers to swap their traditional hamburger bun for two giant leaves of lettuce. The rest of the burger remains the same, meaning customers will still receive a classic McDonald's patty and traditional burger toppings. The new lettuce burger is part of a new 'Create your Taste' campaign, which allows customers to order hamburgers from their touchscreen tablets.

If the new low-carb burger option proves popular with Australian customers, McDonald's has suggested that it may add the option to American menus as well.
