The 'LoomyLoomy' Powers Devices and Communicates with Light

Using a smartphone from bed has become commonplace for many consumers but is causing sleep disturbances as individuals find themselves unable to disconnect, so products like the 'LoomyLoomy' are being designed to help with this issue.

Designed by Alex Dumler, the unit works by being positioned on a bedside table or nightstand and will immediately go to work by having a smartphone slid into the base. The Qi-enabled design will power up the smartphone, while the reflective upper section will communicate with users through light; this is achieved using the companion app that will let them know when it's time to sleep, when it's time to wake up and more.

The 'LoomyLoomy' could work to reduce the instance of unnecessary smartphone use before bed and thus increase the quality of sleep.
