In an effort to encourage long-term thinking, the Long Now Foundation started a project to encourage conversation. The Interval is equal parts bar, cafe, library and museum and features many of Long Now's other projects like a display that shows all the planets visible from earth. Full of wonders, the futurist bar is located in the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Other intriguing artefacts are also available due to a partnership with design studio Because We Can.
The Interval serves as a presentation and events space as well so people can engage in discussions around long-term thinking. The organization is currently fundraising so they can finish what they started and hold more events in the unique meeting place.
