With great luxe fashion collections, come tribute designs in the form of logo nails. Vogue calls this "The Balenciaga Effect." Back in 2017, Japanese manicure artist Mei Kawajiri painted a 'B' on the fingers of the catwalk models. Every year luxurious fashion houses showcase their jaw-dropping silhouettes, riddled with intricate and creative details, as well as relevant social commentary. Brand-oriented manicures are a form of social engagement.

Mei Kawajiri continues to gain admiration on her social media channels. Earlier in March she posted yet another crisp and well-detailed Technicolor manicure that features the Luis Vuitton branding, an object-crazed 3D finger art for Prada, as well as assertive and scribble-styled logo nails, inspired by Chanel.

The logo nails trend is definitely a wonderful engagement with the high fashion industry that makes the catwalk accessible for everyone.
