The Lodge at Columbia Point is a planned boutique hotel in Washington State that will cater to wine connoisseurs. Located in Richland, Washington, the Lodge will be a four-storey boutique hotel with 82 guest rooms.

In incorporating the wine theme, each room at the Lodge at Columbia Point will be named after a winery and will host wine-centric events hosted by chefs and sommeliers alike. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2016, as long as groundbreaking happens soon.

This wine-themed hotel is a great example of tourism driven by specialty and artisan foods and the lifestyle around them. While this is still an early example of such, it is likely that many more accommodations and services will develop around this industry.
