Polish company Velotton has unveiled a technologically upgraded version of its successful Vekkit e-bike kit, with the latest iteration sporting GPS and LTE functionality to enable location services.
Like its predecessor, the new Vekkit e-bike kit is equipped with a 250-watt hub motor that provides up to 30 km/h of pedal assist, with the exact extent of boost controlled through a companion smartphone app.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of a GPS module makes it easier than ever for e-bike owners to keep tabs on their e-bike even when they're not around. If someone tries to steal the e-bike for instance, the GPS sensor automatically sends an alert to the owner's smartphone while tracking the location of the vehicle.
With the peace of mind that comes with added GPS-enabled technology, the Vekkit e-bike kit is set to become even more appealing to people who want a secure and high-speed boost to their existing bicycle.
