Lipslut recently announced that it is joining the right for reproductive rights, but putting its money where its mouth is—donating its sales to the cause. Launched just after the 2016 election, the brand is no stranger to political debates.
Since it's launch, Lipslut has always donated 50% of proceeds to rotating charities. However, from now through May 24, Lipslut is donating 100% of all its lipstick sales—even the limited edition Lipslut Lab shades—to the fight for reproductive rights in the US. As brand founder Katie Sones explains, Lipslut's latest fundraiser is committed to assisting organizations that "provide reproductive healthcare, work to make abortion more accessible, and fight to take down unfair laws."
Like many other brands, Lipslut aims to harness consumer buying power and use it as an agent of change.
