Coffee Ink Flipbooks

Nescafé Colombia Made Limited-Edition Flipbooks with Coffee Itself

Nescafé Colombia is paying homage to coffee and the people who grow it with these limited-edition flipbooks, which were made with the very liquid that inspired its creation. Advertising agency Publicis Colombia created these fun flipbooks for National Coffee Day and they tell the full story of how coffee is made. Nescafé Tradición plays an important part in the story, since it is the instant coffee made of 100% Colombian beans that is used as a material.

Illustrators Alejandro Uscátegui and Sebastián Briceño hand-painted copies of the flipbook with coffee that was turned into a usable ink material. Naturally, the colors of the flipbook are brown and comforting, and they detail scenes like single drops of coffee and branded mugs.
