Retro is all the rage, so it's with little surprise that I find myself drawn to the work of Lillian Bassman. A fashion photography legend, she was once upon a time, the art director for Harper's Bazaar. Now 93 years old, her work is still being exhibited, currently at London's The Wapping Project Bankside.
Lillian Bassman has since embraced the digital world, stating that she uses "the same techniques in Photoshop as I did in the darkroom." If the result involves these stunning black-and-white images, then why not!
