The LEGO Superman Model Stand Was Made Using 18,000 Bricks
Michael Hines — March 14, 2013 — Life-Stages
LEGO artist extraordinaire Evan Bacon has just finished creating a new LEGO Superman model. The model is life-sized and is one of the many superhero LEGO models Bacon has made. (He has also made a life-sized Batman and Iron Man model.) This massive model stands 6'6" and weighs a total of 110 pounds. It was created using 18,000 LEGO bricks and took over 100 hours to create. Oh, and it has light-up LED eyes.
Per usual, Bacon's model is highly detailed. Its based off of the Superman in the upcoming movie Man of Steel and comes equipped with just about everything you'd expect to see on Superman. The pearly white teeth and the single strand of curly black hair are a nice touch, as are Superman's muscular legs and billowy cape.
