Inspired by the way kids play with LEGO at home, Legoland created a virtual reality LEGO roller coaster ride that offers not just a fun thrill, but an entirely new way for kids to immerse themselves in an imaginative world.
The VR headsets that are worn on the ride mimic the eyes of a yellow LEGO Minifig, although one may opt to ride the coaster without the headset in a "reality mode" if desired. However, with the headset in place, riders will find that every twist, turn and drop is enhanced by 360-degree visuals that are perfectly synced to the movement of the coaster. Throughout The Great Lego Race at Legoland, kids under the age of 12 will encounter a fun cast of characters, including a wizard, a pirate, a surfer and a pharaoh.
