"You have to be crazy to do this," exclaims Mark Botts, an avid participant in Finland's hot new winter craze: lawnmower ice racing.

Yes, the green chopping machines have now taken to the whites of winter to sear through the snow and prevail as multi-terrain racing champions. This is no village get-together either; lawnmower racing is a sport and as depicted in the video, participants from other geographical locations such as England, Luxembourg and of course Finland all showed up to take home the top spot for the best ice racing gardener. The 600m track took three days to prepare; drivers had to make as many laps as they could around the snowy path in three hours.
