The 'Lava Aqua X' washing machine is a compact, versatile and eco-friendly appliance for the home that would provide inhabitants with a way to keep their clothing clean without the need to use fresh water to do so. The appliance is targeted toward students who want to save money on their utilities and their environmental impact, and works by using gray water that has been passed through a carbon filter to wash clothing. The machine is thus capable of washing 2.5kg of laundry in just 12 minutes, while the onboard carbon filter is rated for up to 25 loads.
