Lauren Hom, a graphic designer who's based out of Brooklyn, New York, recently released the resulting images of a creative project that she worked on, which shows food products as wearable fashion accessories.
She dubbed the project the 'Four Crowns Series,' to describe the unconventional materials that she made use of. In order to draw attention to each image, she posted them all separately on Instagram, with informative captions which described the food products that were fashioned together to create each crown, as well as why she chose certain brands.
In addition to featuring popular food staples from around New York, like bagels, Lauren Hom honored different cultures by fashioning products like Japanese matcha cookies and candies, or salty chakli and sweet pori urunda from India into crowns.
