Laphroaig Archive Collection 38-Year-Old is Limited-Edition

— June 16, 2025 — Lifestyle
The Laphroaig Archive Collection 38-year-old Scotch whiskey has been added to the distillery's namesake collection as an expression that pays homage to the brand's rich history.

The spirit was distilled in 1985, which proved to be a difficult decade for the industry and thus captures a pivotal moment when the distillery was undergoing renovations. The spirit was initially aged in American oak ex-Bourbon casks before spending time in oloroso Sherry hogshead and finally finished in oloroso Sherry-seasoned European oak butt. Bottled at a cask strength of 41.3% ABV, the single malt is limited-edition with 400 bottles being offered globally for £4.,100 each.

Master Blender Calum Fraser spoke on the Laphroaig Archive Collection 38-year-old Scotch whiskey saying, "The 38-year-old Laphroaig boldly tells a story of the past, providing drinkers with the chance to experience the unmatched skill and spirit of Laphroaig – an experience you won’t forget."
