Ethically Made Chocolate Bars

Land Chocolate is a Delicious Treat That's Made Mindfully

— January 24, 2018 — Eco
Land Chocolate is the first project by Phil Landrs and is some of the best looking and tasting chocolate in the world. Landers was first inspired to make chocolate after taking a trip to Central America; this is where he absolutely fell in love the with the flavors and would then go on to hone his skill with chocolatiers like Paul A Young and the Mast Brothers. Landers currently owns his own chocolate factory and is the producer behind Land Chocolate. What sets this product apart from others is the commitment to flavors and farmers that Landers has.

Land Chocolate is made using cocoa beans from Honduras and Nicaragua, all of which come from local farmers. Landers is committed to paying these farmers twice the amount of Fair Trade demands and firmly believes that the beans are the key to his award-winning chocolate. Landers is currently the only person involved in the production of Land Chocolate and he produces his amazing product in an old furniture warehouse in Bethnal Green, England.
Trend Themes
1. Ethical Chocolate Production - Opportunities exist for chocolate producers to adopt ethical sourcing from local farmers and to pay them more than Fair Trade demands, as consumers increasingly demand products that align with their social responsibility values.
2. Sustainable Food Production - Chocolate brands that prioritize sustainability, ethical production and sourcing can capitalize on consumer demand for environmentally-friendly food production, using locally sourced produce to further reduce their carbon footprint.
3. Craft Chocolate Artisans - Handmade artisanal chocolate products like Land Chocolate that showcase exceptional craftsmanship and unique flavors are trending among consumers looking for high-quality, premium products, creating opportunities for small-scale chocolate producers and startups.
Industry Implications
1. Food Manufacturing - Food manufacturers can explore opportunities to produce chocolate using locally sourced produce from farmers and promote ethical and sustainable production practices to appeal to growing consumer demand for socially responsible products.
2. Agriculture - The agriculture industry can work with chocolate producers to help source beans locally and introduce sustainable agriculture practices that not only ensure a consistent source of high-quality cocoa, but also promote social and environmental responsibility.
3. Retail - Retailers that target health-conscience and socially awareness consumers can stock sustainable, high quality and ethical chocolate products made with locally sourced produce, promoting them as premium, unique, and indulgent alternatives to conventional chocolate offerings.
