Designed by Glen Lewis-Steele, the base of this chair is standard and comfortable. What makes this chair a true original is the light that is attached to it. A rod extending straight up the back of the chair has a semi-circular light attached to it. This light can be bent towards, or away from the user depending on the type of light needed. This enables you to have the option of mood or full lighting.
Another standout feature of the Lambent Chair is that is does not have back legs. That's because the pole holding the lamp acts as a back support, and ultimately stabilizes the chair.
