Labubu is the newest furry plushie taking social media and Gen Z consumers by storm. Labubu was created by Kasing Lung, a Hong Kong artist, and was adapted by Pop Mart, a Beijing toymaker, through 'The Monsters' toy line that accommodates the demand for the product overseas.

The Pop Mart website describes the toys as inspired by Nordic mythology, with a universe packed with all kinds of creatures, good and evil.
