This Škoda ad is a venture outside of the box of traditional automobile marketing. For the project, the manufacturer wanted to instill a character of whimsicality with an artistic flair. As a result, the company employed the creative talent of Hungarian photographer Benedek Lampert.
The idea for the Škoda ad was to utilize toys as props. The promotional materials made use of 1:43-scale models of the manufacturer's products. The task called for great attention to detail and instead of using computer software that was made readily available to him, Benedek Lampert chose to create the commercial environment by hand. The endeavor was so intricate that "most of the images took seven to 12 hours each to complete."
