Amazon recently announced its first-ever Kindle Kids Edition, which will help take the distraction out of reading on other devices like tablets or phones, where games always remain a convenient distraction. Like other Kindles, this new kid-friendly version is purpose-built for reading, which helps to minimize the amount of screen time that is spent on distracting activities that are not reading.

The Amazon Kindle Kids Edition is available in four different cover designs, two of which are pattered, and will appeal to young readers of all ages and abilities. The new e-reader comes with a free year of FreeTime Unlimited to connect kids to their favorite stories, plus other useful tools like Word Wise and Vocabulary Builder to improve their reading skills over time.
