The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Now Comes in a Lower Tier Model

The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft eReader has been launched in a new model that focuses on a lower tier price point to help expand access to a wider segment of consumers. The latest model features half the storage of the original version with 16GB and is engineered without an auto-adjusting front light as well as wireless charging. The device has the same seven-inch color E Ink display as the original and will support up to eight weeks of use per charge thanks to its low power functionality.

The latest Amazon Kindle Colorsoft eReader comes in at $30 less than the original Signature Edition model and responds to consumers who respond well to tiered pricing. This could come as welcome news to shoppers who want the latest full-color eReader without the associated flagship features.
