As talk of self-driving cars increases to a din, automakers are looking to adapt and transform into technology companies, and Kia Motors' 'Kian' bot shows just that. The South Korean company's chatbot is designed to help prospective consumers in searching for their next Kia vehicle, answering questions posed with natural language and pairing consumers with the most appropriate vehicle for their needs.

The 'Kian' bot will allow shoppers to carry out a variety of tasks, including researching pricing, estimating payments, displaying special offers, and comparing Kia vehicles against the competition. Users are able to pose questions with normal, conversational phrasing, asking Kian to "Show me an SUV that gets at least 25 mpg in the city" or "Give me vehicles that seat seven".
