According to a recent study, over 44 million adults in the United States share passwords with families and friends for subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, The New York Times, and Spotify, however, sharing passwords can be cumbersome and feel unsafe — cue a new Chrome extension, Keyring.
Keyring allows users to share these subscription services without revealing passwords. The extension allows users to share up to six subscriptions with three people for free or, for a $5 monthly cost, users can share an unlimited number of subscriptions with five individuals. To use the feature, simply install the exention, sign in to your accounts, and invite your friends.
The brand hopes to eventually join forces with content providers in order to offer budget-friendly bundles for students.
