Kelly McCollam Recreates Van Gogh Paintings Using Seasoning

Photographer and artist Kelly McCollam knows that with just the right amount of seasoning, anything is possible. In regards to food, that means turning something disgusting into something delicious. When it comes to art, however, it simply means spicing things up a bit. Tackling some iconic artworks, Kelly McCollam has masterfully pinched, swirled and mixed salts and spices together for breathtaking results.

So far, Kelly McCollam has created two spectacular series titled Salt of the Earth and Spice of Life. In each series, she has re-created famous paintings such as Van Gogh's 'Wheatfield and Cypress Trees' and 'Olive Trees with Yellow Sky and Sun.' Based in Ohio, it is clear that Kelly McCollam has a special relationship with this particular painter since most of her work centers around Van Gogh's paintings.
