Gibson, through its Custom division, has launched two limited-edition guitars in partnership with musician Keith Richards. These include the Keith Richards 1960 ES-355 Collector’s Edition, which is personally signed by Richards on both the interior label and the headstock, and the Keith Richards 1960 ES-355, which bears only the interior label signature. The first model comes in a run of 50, while the second comes in a run of 100.
Handcrafted in the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, both instruments are meticulously created using advanced 3D scanning technology and hand-aged finishing to emulate the wear and specifications of the original. These collector's items are constructed with period-accurate materials, including a maple body, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and proprietary pickups. The guitars are accompanied by a certificate, a replica strap, and a protective case.
