Musician-Backed Vintage Guitar Designs

Epiphone Debuts the Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom

Epiphone has released a new signature model guitar in collaboration with musician Joe Bonamassa. This instrument — dubbed the Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom — is a recreation of the well-known vintage guitar from 1959. Owned by the artist himself and referred to as the 'Black Beauty,' the original instrument was noted for its unique configuration and rarity.

Epiphone's Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom boasts a Bigsby® vibrato tailpiece, Grover® Imperial™ tuner, and "two pickups instead of the standard three-pickup configuration." The exterior of the instrument features an Antique Ebony finish over a solid mahogany body. The neck boasts a 1959 Rounded Medium C profile and is "topped with a bound ebony fretboard, complete with 22 medium jumbo frets and dressed up with pearloid block inlays."
