Artist Katerina Belkina Has Been Able to Warp Time and Color

Using the traditional methods of taking pictures was not what Katerina Belkina wanted to do. She wanted to use digital manipulation in order to create memorable pictures.

In her series, she uses different scenarios in order to represent her frozen-in-time theme. The pictures take place in homes, vehicles and subways. She uses an entire achromatic palette throughout the pictures. This adds to the eerie feeling that one gets after viewing the pieces. Since all the colors are around the same shade, it is difficult to find anything to focus on other than the subject of each shoot. Katerina Belkina has been able to create an interesting and weird series of photos, and with the subject looking as though she is frozen in time, this series will be difficult to forget.
