Karlina Caune Really Gets into Her Role for ‘Arista Invitada&#

Belgian photographer Quentin de Briey snaps Karlina Caune in a very performance-focused shoot. Caune poses as a house guest for Vogue Spain October 2013’s editorial 'Artista Invitada,' which means "artist Invited." She wears comfortable outfits and nonchalantly smokes a cigarette, showing she has made herself quite at home.

The editorial plays with time. Some images are edited in Sepia, giving it an old-time feel. In one image, Caune wears a blazer and holds her purse in her hand, as if to reach for a smoke out of nervousness. In the background we see a diner. It’s as if she’s impatiently waiting for her date outside a cafe.

She also wears satin, floral print matching pajamas, looking comfortable and rested. As she sips her coffee in the doorway, she sighs, doing a great job at her role as a house guest.
