This summer, Toronto's Junked Food Co. is outdoing traditional ice cream shops with its outrageous take on soft serve ice cream. Instead of rainbow sprinkles and chocolate cookie crumbs, the shop is doling out Instagram-worthy treats topped with everything from Lucky Charms cereal to toasted marshmallows.
One of the store's most unique creations is its clever take on the classic combination of peanut butter and jelly. To give the combination a modern update, Junked Food Co. topped a vanilla soft serve base with a combination of Swedish Berries, candied banana chips, toasted marshmallows, peanut butter drizzle and a spicy Swedish Berry jalapeno sauce. While the decadent dessert still delivers the familiar taste of peanut butter and jelly, the use of innovative toppings makes the cone a gourmet summer treat.
