The JR West Saikoro Ticket is a low-cost rail ticket intended to provide travelers with a way to get out and explore this summer in a decidedly sporadic way. The rail company will be offering 40,000 sets of round-trip tickets that will whisk travelers to one of four locations leaving from Osaka City in Japan, which encourages a sense of adventure. The locations include Kanazawa, Kure, Kinosaki Onsen and Hakata with round-trip tickets costing just 5,000 yen Monday through Thursday or 8,000 yen on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The JR West Saikoro Ticket offers a large percentage of savings over normal ticket prices and could make it more accessible for travelers in Japan to travel. The tickets will be available through a lottery system with winners able to redeem them between August 23 and October 31, 2023.
