Lifesaving Belt Locks

Jowan Baransi Designed a Seatbelt Device to Prevent Children's Heatstroke

Designer Jowan Baransi cleverly came up with a seatbelt design that can help to potentially save the lives of children that suffer from heatstrokes in cars. This children's lifesaver is a concept design for a seatbelt and keychain that can alert parents if their children have been left unattended for too long.

Baransi designed this three-piece seatbelt system to help ensure that children are never forgotten about or left in hot cars for too long. The system works by detecting the presence of a child with a sensor that is fastened underneath the seat. If the guardian leaves the child unattended for too long, a wireless signal will be sent to the keychain portion of the system that the parent can carry on them at all times. The alarm signal will remind the parent that they need to get back to their child as soon as possible.
